A massive crocodile turned a rival inside out with a death roll on its tail.
Andrew Aveley was leading a tour through Kruger National Park, South Africa, when he came across two prehistoric reptiles in a territorial battle.
Incredible footage captured the moment the larger croc grabbed its opponent’s tail in its powerful jaws.
Using its teeth to hold on tight, it then turned over and over, spinning its rival around before letting it go.
“If the lion had brought its prey down, the whole pride would have been able to feast.”
Andrew Aveley
Andrew said: “It was truly exhilarating to watch. I have been a guide for 18 years and had never seen this before.
“It was a dominance display by the larger of the two at the sight of a dead hippo.
“There was continued interaction for a few hours but this was the most intense.”
