This is the epic moment two tigers threw paws in a frenzied battle.

Deepankar Das was on a safari through Tadoba National Park, India, when he spotted an eight-year-old tigress entering the territory of an older rival.

Dramatic footage captured the moment the younger big cat padded over to the elder tigress who was rolling around on her back.

The two massive females landed punishing blows on either other over a span of 20 minutes until the younger tigress won domination over the territory.


“This is extremely rare to see and these fight happens only for territory.

Deepankar said: “This is extremely rare to see and these fight happens only for territory. It was a real privilege to capture.

“The older tigress had been the dominant big cat in the are for almost seven years before this fight.

“After this 20 minute fight had ended, the younger tigress took control of the region and still has it.”
