BRAVE LION TRIES TO FIGHT OFF GROUP OF 12 CROCODILES OVER ZEBRA MEAL
A brave lion tried to fight off a group of 12 crocodiles over a zebra meal.
Willie Cronje was visiting Kruger National Park, South Africa, on July 26 when he spotted a pride of lions defending a carcass from a solitary reptile.
Dramatic footage captured the moment more crocodiles appeared and dragged the zebra away from the pride and down the hill.
Despite being outnumbered, one courageous lion tried to fight off the crocodiles until one started doing a death roll, eventually chasing it off.
Willie said: “The fight carried on for about two hours, where the lion seem to have conceded and have let the crocs take the zebra.
“I haven’t seen anything like this before. I was surprised to see the crocodiles being so brave to try and steal the lion’s kill to be honest.
“There were 12 crocodiles, coming and going, fighting over the zebra.”
