STOP BADGERING ME: BRAVE HONEY BADGER LUNGES AT LION TWICE AFTER BEING CHASED FOR MEAL
A brave honey badger lunged at a lion twice after it was chased for a meal.
Valji Varia was on a tour in the Tuli Wilderness, Botswana, when he spotted a lion pride on the hunt for dinner.
Dramatic footage captured one of the lions targeted a lone honey badger and harassing it across the ground.
Bravely the honey badger turned and bared its razor sharp teeth at the lion not once but twice, eventually managing to escape to safety.
Valji said: “We were extremely excited to witness the interaction. I have been holidaying in Africa for 12 years and never seen this before.
“This is very rare to see. The lion pride had been stalking prey all morning and had followed a group of eland into some thick bush.
“Despite their best efforts to stalk up to their intended target, they were spotted. Unable to capture anything more substantial, they began to target smaller game.
“The honey badger managed to escape. They are very tough and aggressive if in danger.”
