FROG IN YOUR THROAT: BRAVE FROG TRIES TO ESCAPE SNAKE’S MULTIPLE ATTACKS

1–2 minutes

A brave frog tried to escape a snake’s multiple attacks before eventually succumbing.

Jannette Kotze was visiting Kruger National Park, South Africa, on December 29 when she spotted a bullfrog in the road.

Dramatic footage captured an olive grass snake stalking the unfortunate frog across the ground before lunging at its prey’s back.

The snake’s jaws made multiple attempts to wrap its jaws around the frog’s back before it eventually sank its fangs into the animal and rolling around with it.

Did you know? African bullfrogs

Jannette, from Pretoria, South Africa, said: “I could not believe our luck. The frog put up a great fight but the snake eventually got its prey.

“We spotted the snake and frog in the road but when we reversed to see what happened, the snake went into the bushes.

“We turned the car to get a better view and the snake came out of the bush.”
